My Philosophy
Fashion, to me, is a way of life.
There is a French saying: L’habit ne fait pas le moine, “The clothes do not make the monk.” I understand its meaning. A person’s character is never defined by what they wear. But I also believe that clothing is a form of communication.
The way we dress can express our personality, our culture, our creativity, our confidence, our values, and even how we feel. Before we speak a single word, our clothing has already told part of our story. Fashion has the power to inspire, comfort, and connect us with others. That is why I believe fashion should honor the woman, not compete with her.
At Touta, I believe clothing should be made with the same care it is worn. I value timeless design over trends, craftsmanship over mass production, simplicity over excess, and freedom over restriction. I love simplicity because I believe true elegance never has to shout. I admire clothing that follows the natural lines of the body, allowing women to move freely while feeling comfortable, confident, and beautifully themselves.
I create clothing, jewelry, handbags, and hand-painted silk scarves with the same philosophy. Every piece is thoughtfully designed, carefully crafted, and made to be cherished, not simply consumed. I would rather create fewer beautiful things with exceptional care than produce thousands without meaning.
My hope is that when you wear one of my designs, you don’t just wear something beautiful, you wear something that reflects who you are and supports the life you live.
